The wine auction of the ancient hospital of Beaune is the biggest wine charity sale to the world since 1859. Thanks to its 58 hectares of high quality wineyards, the hospital could look after the patients from the medieval time until now. This year, the sale takes place on Sunday, November 20, 2011 from 2:30 pm, under Les Halles de Beaune, in the heart of the old town: just like that of hammer of ivory, the prices burn or fall which gives the trend for the wine prices in Burgundy.

This event is a part of what we call the Glorious Three Days:

- On Friday, November 18: beginning of the tastings and festivities

- On Saturday, November 19: chapter of the Brotherhood of the Knights du Tastevin. Evening reserved for the members of the Brotherhood and their guests.

- On Sunday, November 20 at 2:30 pm: wine auction of the Hospices de Beaune

- On Monday, November 21 at 12 am: paulée of Meursault. Every dinner guest has to bring his bottles
