Come to our charming B&B La Terre d’Or, we would be very happy to welcome you here in Beaune, take you to our best places and share our love for Burgundy!

Arrival day:
- 4 to 7 pm Welcome to La Terre d’Or! make yourself comfortable in your room, enjoy a first glass of Burgundy wine, visit the grotto with us, begin discussing wine & food and choose your restaurant for dinner.
2nd day: Côte de Beaune vineyard tour
- 8 to 10 am Breakfast
- 10 am Departure for Pommard, Volnay, Meursault…all the prestigious villages of Côte de Beaune with vineyard maps and explanations in the vineyards. Talks about Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the specificities of Burgundy “terroir”, wine classification…
- 11 am Wine-tasting at Béjot, a large estate with a good choice of great wines.
Sarah is very enthusiastic about wine, you will learn a lot during her tasting. - 12.30 am Experience a good French casual lunch in a charming village restaurant for the locals
- 2 pm Stop at the famous Montrachet Grands Crus vineyard area and wine-tasting at Caveau des Grands Crus with Stéphane: a selection of special wines from excellent small winemakers
- 3 pm Great views over the medieval Château de la Rochepôt and short walk in the lovely remote villages of Orches or Saint Romain.
- 4 pm Wine-tasting in a lovely vaulted cellar at a small and welcoming winemaker: Blandine & François Rocault are the 16th generation!
- 5 pm Return to La Terre d’Or for a relaxing time before dinner
3rd day : Côte de Nuits vineyard tour:
- 8 to 10 am Breakfast
- 10 am Departure for the famous Pinot Noir villages along the Grands Crus wine road. Talks about wine and winemakers, old walls, oak barrels, …
- 11 am Stop at the most prestigious vineyards such as Romanée Conti, La Tâche, Grands Echezeaux…with vineyard maps and explanations.
- 11.30 am Visit of the medieval Château du Clos de Vougeot that housed the monks of Cîteaux. Their 700 years of experimentation and permanent search for high quality laid many of the foundations for winemaking in Burgundy still in use today.
- 12.30 am Experience a good French casual lunch in a charming village restaurant off-road
- 2 pm Jam tasting at a local fruit grower that makes excellent jam the old way, in cooper sauce pans OR truffle tasting (both are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
- 3 pm Visit of the cellars and the vat room + beautiful wine-tasting at Moillard in Nuits-Saint-Georges
- 4 pm Visit and wine-tasting at another Domaine in Vosne-Romanée, Aloxe-Corton or Echevronne (depending on availability)
- 5 pm Return to La Terre d’Or for a relaxing time before dinner
4th day: Beaune old town + free time in Beaune with our help
- 8 to 10 am Breakfast
- 10 am Promenade in Beaune: the narrow medieval streets, the basilica Notre Dame, the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy…
- 10.30 am Cheese tasting at HESS, excellent cheese shop
- 11.30 am Wine-tasting at DOMAINE DEBRAY, one of the very few small winemakers in Beaune
- From 1 pm Free afternoon with our recommendations: lunch on your own and time for shopping and visits. We can suggest the famous Hospices de Beaune, the mustard factory, additional wine-tastings and the best shops in town for shopping.
5th day : Abbaye of Fontenay tour
- 8 to 9 am Breakfast and departure for Abbaye of Fontenay
- 10.30 am Visit this great Abbaye, listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List
- 1 pm Lunch in a casual village restaurant
- 2 pm Walk through one of the most beautiful villages in France: the Church, the crypt, the anis factory, the ramparts…
- 3.30 pm Drive to Semur en Auxois, fortified village built on a pink granit rock and walk along it’s medieval streets
- 5 pm Return to La Terre d’Or for a relaxing time before dinner
Departure day:
- 8 to 11 am Breakfast and departure

Rates for this all- inclusive 5-night stay:
- 1800€ per person/ based on double occupancy
- + 550€ based on single occupancy
The all inclusive stay includes:
- 5 nights in prestige B&B.

- All guided visits with extensive commentary on Burgundy wines, history and culture
- All admission fees for museums, castles and other visits – 5 to 6 wine tastings + aperitif in the grotto

Not included in the price:
your dinners : only the first dinner is included
your wine purchases: it’s a good opportunity to select wines that you really like and may not find at home at the local price. Winemakers can ship to your door and you save 20 % VAT (that pays for most of the shipping costs).
Conditions:
The program of this special 5 night all-inclusive stay is often adapted according to your interests, the weather conditions and the winemakers’ availability. Guided day tours may be switched according to opening days of the places we visit.
