This half day is a short introduction to Burgundy wine. It gives you the necessary background to read the wine list and continue exploring Burgundy on your own. .
A day with la Terre d’Or in Côte de Beaune
This full day guided tour is not only about wine, but also about Burgundy life, culture and history.
This program is often adapted according to your interests, the weather conditions and the winemakers availability.
- 10 am Departure for Pommard, Volnay, Meursault…all the prestigious villages of the Côte de Beaune with vineyard maps and explanations in the vineyards. Talks about Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the specificities of Burgundy “terroir”, wine classification…
- 11 am Wine-tasting at Le Caveau de Meursault, a large estate with a good choice of great wines.
Sarah and Hélène are very enthusiastic about wine, you will learn a lot during the tasting. - 12.30 am Experience a good casual lunch in a charming village restaurant for the locals: Le Cellier Volnaysien, L’Estaminet or L’Auberge du Vieux Vigneron
- 2 pm Wine-tasting at Vignes et Vergers with Hubert in a charming vaulted cellar, in Chassagne-Montrachet : this family winery is all organic, and Hubert will give you his organic jam to taste also!
- 3.30 pm Stop at the famous Montrachet Grands Crus vineyard area
- 4 pm Wine-tasting at a traditional small winemaker we like much: Domaine Debray with Yvonnick, Domaine Denis Carré or Domaine Rocault with Blandine & François
- 5 pm Return to La Terre d’Or – optional visit of Le Clos with Jean-Louis (little vineyard, truffle plantation…) and relaxing time before dinner

The price includes all the visits, tastings and transportation with our car.
